We had Scooter of "Scooter's RV Repair" work on the TARDIS replacing the bearings on one wheel and repacking the bearings on both wheels as it has been many thousands of miles acrossing the country twice, and then going from, to, and from Quebec again (including a side trip to Massachusetts.)

Anyhow, Great job Scooter!

So long house...    See ya on July 2!
Onward to Caring Acres Farm (opens new tab) in West Virginia to stock up on grass-fed humanely treated meat, and to spend the night!

For those interested, I will attempt to recall (from notes) the food and the charging information, as well as the people we visited and met anew along the way. I don't have all the info (i.e. cost of each charge) but I will do my best to decipher all our notes.

It's our second year with the Model X towing vehicle and we now have a year of experience with "Susan" (We named the car after Doctor Who's granddaughter) We've developed our own gut feel for how long each day's driving will take--depending on terrain, elevation changes, and temperatures. AND there are far more chargers even than last year. I think the tipping point for the future of EVs has happened. Thank goodness. Hope we don't back slide.

This year, we decided to have shorter driving days, so we have time to relax and enjoy each stop.

Caring Acres Farm, on Sky King Drive (Remember Sky King?) was so beautiful. Greenbrier Valley is just stunning and Carl was so nice. We bought lots of beef for the freezer and enjoyed the booklet about the valley he gave us.

This was a Harvest Host stop so we parked on a big green space overlooking the valley. There was only one other camper. A guy and his dog in a van camper, who was already gone when we were up early.

<--Here is what we bought. We'll cook the tongue in our stovetop mini pressure cooker and have lingua tacos!

We kinda got there late and left early, so not much exploring, but it was very quiet, level, and safe.
